Kimi and Akio were originally created as an initial concept for Daido Market. The illustrations were liked, but not chosen by the client as they were too contemporary. Meeting with the client at their place of business made me better understand their needs. It’s rarely true, but the design not chosen became a wonderful exploratory personal project that became a signature style.
